Brookside Nursing Home, established in 1963, is owned and operated by the Rice family. We are licensed to admit residents who require skilled and intermediate care, respite for families, and hospice care. We accept residents covered by Medicare/Medicaid and other intermediaries.

Brookside Nursing Home operates a facility in a quiet residential neighborhood, within minutes of a local hospital.

As a total-care facility, we are committed to offering a high level of skilled nursing care. Supervised by the Director of Nursing Service, licensed nurses cover every shift.

A physician is always on call and each resident's personal physician works with the staff and other professionals to plan the individual's care.

Additional special support services include an on-staff activities director, a certified food service supervisor, and a social worker.

We also work with community senior organizations which enables us to provide our residents with autonomy and a decision-making process to enhance the quality of life.

Green Mountain Nursing Home, established in 1963, was purchased by the Rice family in 2000. Green Mountain Nursing Home is a 73-bed skilled nursing facility located in historic Fort Ethan Allen.
